Refund & Returns

At Audacious Books, we are committed to delivering high-quality books, publishing services, and a delightful customer experience. This Refund & Returns Policy explains how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds for purchases made through our website.

By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Physical Books (Print Copies)

We accept returns or exchanges for physical books only under the following conditions.

1.1 Damaged or Defective Items

If your book arrives damaged, misprinted, with missing pages, or in poor physical condition, you are eligible for a free replacement or full refund.

What to do: notify us within 3 days of delivery, include your order number and clear photos of the issue, and email hello@audaciousbooks.com.

1.2 Wrong Item Received

If you receive the wrong book or quantity, contact us within 5 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement at no extra cost.

1.3 Change of Mind

Because we are a small press and print in limited batches, we do not accept returns for change of mind, incorrect orders placed by the customer, or books already opened or used.

2. Digital Products (eBooks, PDFs, Downloads)

All digital products — eBooks, workbooks, digital guides, and downloadable resources — are non-refundable once delivered. If you experience a technical issue accessing your file, we will gladly assist you until the problem is resolved.

3. Publishing Services and Coaching Programs

Payments for services such as manuscript evaluation, editing, book design, coaching sessions, and publishing packages are non-refundable once work has begun.

3.1 Cancellations Before Work Begins

If you cancel before we start working on your project, you may receive a partial refund, minus administrative fees. Your eligibility depends on the specific terms of your service agreement.

3.2 Missed Coaching Sessions

Missed or forgotten sessions are non-refundable but may be rescheduled at our discretion.

4. Order Cancellations

You may cancel a physical book order within 2 hours of placing it, provided it has not yet been processed or shipped. Once processing begins, cancellations are no longer possible.

5. Shipping Costs

Shipping fees are non-refundable, except in cases of damaged or incorrect items, and are the responsibility of the customer for any approved returns.

6. Processing Refunds

Once your refund is approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method. Processing may take 10 to 14 business days, depending on your bank. We will notify you once your refund has been processed.

7. How to Request a Refund or Return

Get in touch at sales@audaciousbooks.com and include your full name, order number, reason for the request, and photos (if applicable). Our team will respond within 2–3 business days.

8. Exceptions

We reserve the right to refuse refunds or returns if the request is made outside the allowed timeframe, the item shows signs of use not related to shipping damage, or the claim is inconsistent with our policy.

Shipping Policy

• Peak seasons or launches: 3–5 business days
• Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next business day

2. Shipping Within Uganda

We offer reliable nationwide delivery through trusted courier partners.

2.1 Delivery Timeframes

• Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area: 1–3 business days
• Major towns: 2–5 business days
• Remote areas: 3–7 business days

Delivery times may vary based on courier schedules, weather, or unforeseen delays.

2.2 Shipping Fees

If you would like to pick up your order, a location within Kampala will be provided, along with pickup hours. You will receive a notification when your order is ready.

8. Pre-Orders
